Salicylic Acid (2%): The workhorse active ingredient. As a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), it's oil-soluble, which allows it to penetrate deep into pores to clear out blockages. It also helps to calm the redness and inflammation associated with breakouts.

This face wash is specifically designed for Oily, Combination, and Acne-Prone skin types. It's the ideal daily cleanser for anyone looking to manage excess oil, clogged pores, and active breakouts.

Deep Cleans and Unclogs Pores: The 2% salicylic acid effectively dissolves oil and debris within the pores to prevent blemishes.

Treats and Prevents Acne: Helps to clear up existing breakouts and stops new ones from forming.

Reduces Oil and Shine: Helps to control excess sebum production for a more balanced, matte appearance.

Calms Redness: The anti-inflammatory properties of salicylic acid can help reduce the redness associated with acne.

Use up to twice a day, in the morning and evening.

Step 1: Wet your face with lukewarm water.

Step 2: Dispense 1-2 pumps of the wash into your wet hands and work it into a light lather.

Step 3: Gently massage the lather onto your face using circular motions for about 60 seconds, focusing on breakout-prone areas.

Step 4: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat your face dry with a clean towel.

This product contains a 2% concentration of Salicylic Acid, which can cause dryness for some skin types. The scented version contains fragrance.

The 2nd's Recommendation: If you have sensitive skin, start by using it just once a day to see how your skin tolerates it. Always follow up with a moisturizer to keep your skin balanced.

This is a really effective cleanser for keeping oily and breakout-prone skin in check. To get the most out of the salicylic acid, make sure you're massaging it into your skin for a full minute before you rinse. This gives the active ingredient enough time to do its job inside the pores. Using a good moisturizer afterward is a non-negotiable step to keep your skin barrier healthy.

How is this different from the other Geologie acne wash?
While both are designed for acne, they feature different active ingredients. This wash uses Salicylic Acid (a BHA), which is excellent for deep cleaning oily pores. The other "Acne Control Face Wash" in the Clear System is also a Salicylic Acid wash. They are essentially the same base product, offered here with more size and scent flexibility. Always check the active ingredients to match your needs.

Will this dry out my skin?
Because salicylic acid is a powerful exfoliant that cuts through oil, it can cause some dryness, especially if you're not used to it. This is why it's important to start slow if you have concerns and to always use a moisturizer after cleansing to restore hydration.

Can I use this every day?
Yes, it's designed for up to twice-daily use. However, listen to your skin. If you start to feel dry or tight, reduce your use to once a day or every other day.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
