Why do I need a separate moisturizer for night?
Your skin's needs are different at night. During the day, your skin is in defense mode, so a moisturizer with SPF is best. At night, your skin goes into repair mode. A dedicated night moisturizer, like this one, is formulated with ingredients that support that renewal process and doesn't contain the unnecessary SPF filters you don't need while you sleep.

What's the difference between this and a heavy night cream?
The main difference is texture and who it's best for. A heavy night cream is typically oil-based and very rich, which is great for very dry or mature skin. A gel moisturizer, like this one, is water-based and much lighter. It provides excellent hydration but is better suited for normal, combination, or oily skin types that don't need the extra richness.

Is this good for oily or acne-prone skin?
