This sunscreen spray is suitable for all skin types. Its high SPF and 80-minute water- and sweat-resistance make it ideal for long days outdoors, beach trips, sports, and any activity involving prolonged sun exposure.

Apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Step 1: Shake the can well before use.

Step 2: Hold the can about 6 inches from your body and spray all over, from your neck to your toes, until your skin has a visible sheen.

Step 3: To apply to the face, spray it onto your hands first and then apply to your face. Do not spray directly onto your face.

Step 4: Reapply at least every 2 hours, or every 80 minutes after swimming or sweating.

This product is a chemical sunscreen and contains alcohol and fragrance. If you have very sensitive skin or are sensitive to chemical sunscreen filters, a patch test is recommended.

This is a fantastic sunscreen for a serious beach day or any long outdoor activity. The high SPF gives you a superior level of protection, and the antioxidant blend is a great bonus for your skin's health. While the brand notes you don't need to rub it in, we still find that a quick, light pass with your hands after spraying is the best way to ensure you haven't missed any spots.

What's the difference between this and the Oars + Alps Mineral Sunscreen Spray?
They use different types of sunscreen technology. The Mineral Sunscreen uses Zinc Oxide, a physical blocker that sits on top of the skin and reflects UV rays. It's often preferred for very sensitive skin and needs to be rubbed in. This SPF 70 Spray is a chemical sunscreen. It uses chemical filters that absorb UV rays and is designed to be lighter and apply more clearly on the skin.


Do I really need SPF 70?
While SPF 30 is the daily minimum, a higher SPF provides a greater margin of safety against sunburn and sun damage, especially if you have fair skin, are at a high altitude, or will be in the direct sun for a long time. SPF 70 blocks approximately 99% of UVB rays, compared to about 97% for SPF 30. That extra protection can make a big difference.

The directions say not to rub it in. Is that correct?
Chemical sunscreens like this one are designed to form an even film on the skin to be effective. The brand's official instruction is that rubbing isn't necessary. However, many dermatologists recommend lightly rubbing any spray sunscreen to ensure you haven't missed any spots and your coverage is completely even.
