This is a really impressive styling product that truly feels like it's nourishing your hair. What is the difference between a putty, a paste, and a clay?
They are all in the same family but have subtle differences. Clay is typically the driest and offers the most texture and a very matte finish. Paste is often a bit creamier and can have a slightly more refined, semi-matte finish. Putty (like this product) often strikes a great balance, providing the strong hold and matte finish of a clay but with more moisturizing and pliable properties, making it less drying.
