Step 1: Start with a small, dime-sized scoop of paste from the jar.

Step 2: Emulsify the paste by rubbing it between your palms until it's warm and evenly distributed.

This is an incredibly versatile styling product. The fact that you can use it on both dry and damp hair to achieve different finishes makes it a real workhorse in a minimalist's grooming kit. We're big fans of applying it to damp hair and then blow-drying; it acts as a great pre-styler, giving your hair volume and a foundation of hold before you add any finishing products.

What's the difference between this paste and the Jack Henry Hair Cream?
The main difference is the level of hold. The Hair Cream offers a very light, conditioning hold and is best for taming frizz and achieving a relaxed, natural look. This Hair Paste provides a much stronger medium hold, making it better for creating structured, defined hairstyles.

Is a water-based paste easy to wash out?
Yes, that's one of its biggest advantages. Unlike old-school, oil-based pomades, a water-based formula like this one is designed to rinse out easily with just water and shampoo, so you don't have to worry about product buildup.

What are hydrolyzed proteins and what do they do for my hair?
"Hydrolyzed" simply means the protein molecules (from kale, carrot, and lemon in this case) have been broken down into smaller pieces. This allows them to penetrate the hair's outer layer, or cuticle, to deliver strengthening and moisturizing benefits from the inside, rather than just sitting on the surface.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
