What is the difference between this and an antiperspirant?Antiperspirants use aluminum to physically block your sweat glands and stop you from perspiring. This deodorant is aluminum-free, meaning it allows your body to sweat naturally but uses cassava root to absorb that moisture and prebiotics to kill the bacteria that cause the sweat to smell.Why is "baking soda-free" important?Baking soda is a very common ingredient in natural deodorants because it is great at killing odor. However, its pH level is very high, which can be extremely irritating to the skin, often causing a dark or red rash. By using prebiotics instead, this formula achieves odor protection without the irritation.How long does the "transition period" last?When you stop using aluminum-based antiperspirants, your body sometimes goes through a "detox" phase where you might feel like you are sweating more for a few days. Usually, this levels out within one to two weeks as your sweat glands adjust to functioning naturally again.
