It's all about purpose. Oil is for conditioning the skin and hair. Balm (like this product) is a conditioner and a light styler; it's thicker than oil and offers more control. Wax is purely for styling and has the strongest hold for shaping mustaches and very unruly beards.

Can I use this with beard oil?
Absolutely. It's a great combination. Apply beard oil first to deeply moisturize the skin underneath your beard. Then, apply the beard balm to condition the beard hair itself, seal in the moisture from the oil, and provide a light hold for styling.

Will this feel heavy or greasy in my beard?
No, it's formulated to be lightweight. The key is to start with a small amount, warm it up completely in your hands until it's melted, and then apply it evenly. This ensures it absorbs properly and gives you a natural, non-greasy finish.
