Using a co-wash is a bit different from a traditional shampoo.

Step 1: Wet your hair thoroughly in the shower.

Step 2: Squeeze a generous amount of the co-wash into your palm.

Step 3: Work the product through your hair, from root to tip. The key is to treat it like a shampoo: really focus on massaging your scalp with your fingertips for a minute or two to mechanically lift away dirt and oil.

Step 4: Let the co-wash sit on your hair for 2-3 minutes, just like a conditioner.

Step 5: Rinse thoroughly.

This product contains fragrance and natural oils/butters. While formulated to be gentle, check the full ingredient list for any known sensitivities.

How can this clean my hair if it doesn't have suds?
We're conditioned to think suds equal clean, but that's not always true. Suds are just a side effect of harsh detergents (sulfates). A co-wash uses gentle cleansing agents and emollients, combined with the mechanical action of you scrubbing your scalp, to lift away dirt and oil without stripping everything away.

Who should use a co-wash?
A co-wash is best for people whose hair gets overly dry or frizzy from regular shampoo. It's fantastic for curly, wavy, and coarse hair types because it preserves the moisture those hair types desperately need. If you have very fine or oily hair, a co-wash might feel a bit too heavy for you.

Does this replace my shampoo and conditioner completely?
It can. For many people, a co-wash is all they need. However, some people like to use a traditional clarifying shampoo once a week or every couple of weeks to remove any stubborn product buildup, and then use the co-wash for all other washes. It's all about finding the routine that works for your hair.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
