More Than Skin Deep: My Journey to The 2nd

I’ve spent most of my life at war with my own skin.

Since I was a kid, severe eczema has been a constant and unwelcome companion. It was more than just a physical irritation; it was a relentless source of self-consciousness and frustration. I tried everything I could get my hands on, from harsh chemical treatments to every "sensitive skin" product on the market, but nothing seemed to offer lasting relief. The endless cycle of flare-ups and disappointment was exhausting.

This personal battle, however, planted the seed for what would eventually become The 2nd. I realized that if I was struggling this much, countless others were likely facing their own skincare challenges, feeling overlooked and underserved by the mainstream market.

My frustration turned into a passion-fueled mission. I dove headfirst into the world of skincare, researching ingredients, learning about formulations, and discovering emerging brands that were doing things differently in the masculine skincare space. I was searching for products that were not only effective but also clean, transparent, and created with integrity. I wanted solutions that I could trust on my own sensitive skin.

This journey of discovery led me to the incredible brands we now feature at The 2nd. Each one has been carefully selected by me. They are brands founded on the principle of creating high-quality, effective products that are genuinely good for you.
